peace, love, unity, respect, positivity. the five words the floor runs on.
Peace. You came here to get away from the noise outside. So did everyone else. Nobody on this floor needs your argument tonight.
Love. Not the romantic kind. The kind where you notice the person on their own at the edge and you pull them in.
Unity. The floor is one thing. Cliques that wall themselves off with elbows and bags are taking space from the room that made them welcome.
Respect. For the people dancing, the people working the bar, the security at the door, the artist reading the room, and the neighbours trying to sleep two streets away.
Positivity. Not forced cheerfulness, and not pretending everything is fine. It is the decision to add something to the room rather than take from it. The people who make a night are rarely the loudest ones. They are the ones who brought good energy through the door and left it behind when they went.
Five words is a low bar. Clear it.
